Believe

Has anyone ever told you that something you believed in was fake, stupid or weird? I have heard it many times.

I am a Reiki Master with additional certification in Animal and Pet Reiki, Hand Mudras and Crystal Energy Healing. When I first began my course work and training, I became very passionate about learning everything I could. I fell in love with possibilities of these healing modalities and take great pride in what I have accomplished. My issue was that I was hesitant to tell people because of the “labels” some people put on the techniques. For me, the trick was to realize that those labels are based on THEIR beliefs, not mine, and certainly not everyone else’s

I started to show my pride in what I do by simply telling people I do it. The surprising part to me was that quite a few people think it’s great and I have done healing attunements and distance healing attunements for them. Many others had little idea what Reiki is about, but wanted to learn more. These two groups of people greatly outweigh the number of negative people. The people who I have done attunements for have checked back in with me and reported feeling much better in whatever area we were attuning or just generally. THEY BELIEVED.

The blessed lesson I learned through all of this is simple, profound and can be challenging. Put yourself out there. Believe in yourself enough to show up to your life and your passion. When you do that, others will believe, too. In the end, all that really matters is the gift to help make someone’s life better. You never know when the very thing that makes you “different” is exactly what others may be looking for.
