I wish you forgiveness, but me first.

I wish you kindness, but me first.
I wish you compassion, but me first.
I wish to give you all these things and more, but I must give them to myself first. It is not a selfish act. For us to truly understand the magnitude, depth and impact of giving these things, we need to experience them. It is completely acceptable for us to extend the same things to ourselves as we extend to others. Your soul needs to be complete and whole before you can give a piece of it to others.
