I had a spontaneous idea today while writing my holiday cards to family and friends. I had some extra cards when I was finished with my list and it occurred to me that I didn’t have to stop at family and friends. I reached out to a few people who live in various places around the country. I asked them if they would give me random house address or the address of someone they know who is lonely or sad during the holiday season. No names, just addresses. I am sending them cards simply addressed to “Friend”. I wrote short notes of good wishes and positive thoughts in each one. Everyone needs to feel like they matter to someone and what a better time of year to show them that! I intend to send random notes throughout the year, also. If you know of anyone who could use a little kindness and/or compassion, send them a note. If you are inclined to, send me their address and I would be blessed and honored to do the same!
